CAUAYAN CITY. Isabela, Aug. 26 (PNA) — The Cauayan City Police Office (CCPO) has called on gun owners in the city and nearby towns to avail of License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF) during a caravan to be held Wednesday at the F. L Dy coliseum in this city.
Supt. Engelbert Soriano, City police chief, said the personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters would be in the city to process licensing to would-be- gun owners in the city and nearby towns.
Soriano said the caravan aims to bring the services closer to the clients and to reduce expenses in owning gun license.
Soriano advised the gun owners to present the requirements during the processing of LTOPF that included Certificate of Gun Safety and Responsible Gun Ownership Seminar administered by PNP or any of the following, PNP registered and authorized gun clubs, Certification from PNP HRDD for active PNP personnel, authenticated copy of retirement order for PNP and AFP retirees, Certification from head office/unit and other law enforcement agencies indicating that the said applicant is an organic member of their respective units have undergone gun safety training and seminar.
The city chief urged gun owners to avail the caravan on LTOPF as this activity is seldom conducted in the city. (PNA)
