BACOLOD CITY, June 19 (PNA) — Voters in Negros Occidental were advised anew by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) anew to comply with the biometrics registration to enable them to participate in the May 2016 elections.

Of the 1,557,006 registered voters in Negros Occidental, including Bacolod City, 73,346 have yet to comply with their biometric data as of April 20, records from COMELEC showed.
Voters who fail to complete their data with COMELEC will be delisted from the official voters for 2016 elections, Suarez said.
Local government units with the highest number of voters with incomplete biometric data include Bacolod City, 7, 397 voters; Bago City, 5,903 voters; Kabankalan City, 5,657 voters; Cadiz City, 5,526 voters; and Himamaylan City, 4,178 voters.
Voters are given until October 31 to comply with the requirements, Suarez added.
