TARLAC CITY, Tarlac, June 8 (PNA) — The city government earned more than half a million pesos through the issuance of building, occupancy and meter connection permits last month.
City Mayor Gelacio Manalang said that the city government’s revenue totaled P541, 065.54 through the City Engineer’s Office.
Collections in building permits reached a total amount of P359,770.54; occupancy permits, P76,695; and meter connection, P104,600.
A total of 39 building permits were issued while 14 were granted for residential, 17 for commercial, two for institutional and six for other classifications.
In occupancy permits, there were a total of 23 issued. Six were given for residential, 15 for commercial and two for institutional.
Meanwhile, the City Engineer’s Office conducted a total of 554 inspections in structures as mandated by the National Building Code of the Philippines.
Three annual inspections were conducted to commercial establishments, five for notices of violation, 23 for occupancy permit and 523 for meter connection applications.
Manalang said that the noticeable gains of the city in terms of investments, infrastructure development, peace and order, livelihood and tourism are fruits of effective leadership and governance. (PNA)
