LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, April 1 (PNA) — Governor Amado Espino Jr. asked the elder people of the province to constantly remind the young ones of the real essence of the observance of Holy Week.
He made the call during the Lenten observance at the provincial government marked by a Holy Mass and the staging of the Stations of the Cross Wednesday in the Capitol Compound.
“I hope we can remind our children and our grandchildren the essence of the Holy Week because I notice that they no longer give importance to this,” Espino said.
The Governor noted that one of the most important things to do this Lenten season is to ask for and give forgiveness.
“It might be difficult to do that (forgiving) but if the Lord forgives, why can’t we,” he added. (PNA)
