TUGUEGARAO CITY, Sept 2 (PNA) — The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is celebrating its 114th founding anniversary this year with the theme: “Tapat na Serbisyo Alay ko, Dahil Lingkod Bayani Ako” for the whole month of September.
During a press conference Tuesday, CSC regional director Neil Agustin said prepared activities will showcase the fast delivery of services of the government agencies in Cagayan Valley region.
The highlight of this year’s celebration focuses on processing of applications for career examination: Tuguegarao City’s tax issuance to clients; and the Department of Health’s (DOH) conduct of medical and dental mission, Agustin said.
Other agencies which will offer services include the Philippine Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) for the processing of the medical claims of patients and other benefits; Land Transportation Office the processing of the application and renewal of drivers license, among others.
Activities of regional offices include programs on wellness for energized resources, fun run, Human Resources Management Office, and design arts training.
Winners in the different programs of the CSC will be given recognition on September 30.
Agustin encouraged other agencies to adopt similar programs and activities promoting efficient and good public service.
Meanwhile, out of 11,203 examinees in the May 2014 career services examination for professional and sub-professional levels in Region 2, only 1,224 passed or 22.97 percent. of the 1,224 passers, 999 are in the professional level, and 225 in the sub-professional level. (PNA)
