MANILA, July 10 (PNA) — Police seized some Php 100 million worth of methamphetamine hydrocloride, or ‘shabu,’ from three suspected drug traders during an anti-drug operation in Quezon City on Monday.
Chief Inspector Robert Razon, head of Quezon City Police District-District Anti Illegal Drugs (QCPD-DAID), identified the arrested suspects as Grace Navalta, 32, resident of Francis St., Brgy. San Agustin, Novaliches,Quezon City; Anthony Pineda, 32, of Brgy. San Agustin, Novaliches; and Jesselito Cabaguero, 37, of 22 Riverside Parampura, Tarlac City.
Razon said the suspects were arrested after they sold illegal drug weighing approximately two kilos worth Php 3 million to an undercover police agent who acted as buyer around 5:30 a.m. at West Avenue near corner Examiner street in front of HapChan restaurant.
He added that they also discovered another 13 packs of shabu more or less one kilo each pack inside the compartment of the suspects car white Honda City with plate number UNO-122.
The suspects were currently detained at the QCPD-DAID and will be charge for violation of selling dangerous drugs (Section 5), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is being prepared for filing in court against the suspects. (PNA)
