CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, March 3 (PNA) — The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has advised electric cooperatives and consumers of an 11-hour power interruption on Tuesday in some parts of the province.
The brownout, scheduled from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. will affect parts being serviced by Pampanga II Electric Cooperative, Incorporated (PELCO II) and San Fernando Electric Light and Power Company, Inc. (SFELAPCO)
The affected areas are the towns of Bacolor, Sta Rita, Sasmuan, Porac, Lubao, Guagua and Floridablanca.
Ernest Lorenz B. Vidal, Central Luzon corporate communications and public affairs officer, said the temporary shut off is meant to facilitate annual preventive maintenance of 100MVA transformer and for diagnostic testing of power equipment and parallel transmission line works along Hermosa-Guagua 69kVLine.
Vidal said normal operations will immediately resume after work completion.
NGCP’s customers and the general public are advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions for the power interruption, he added. (PNA)
