MANILA, Feb. 10 (PNA) — Malacanang on Monday extended condolences to the family of former Supreme Court Justice Serafin Cuevas who died Sunday night at age 85.
Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr., in a text message, expressed sympathy to the Cuevas family in behalf of Malacanang.
“We extend our condolences to the family of the late Justice Serafin Cuevas who dedicated a good portion of his life and career to public service,” Coloma said.
Cuevas served from June 1, 1984 to April 16, 1986 as the Supreme Court’s 106th Associate Justice appointed by the late President Ferdinand Marcos.
He was also the lead counsel of former Chief Justice Renato Corona in the latter’s impeachment trial in 2012. (PNA)
