MOSCOW, Jan. 22 (PNA/ITAR-TASS) — Political directors of P5+1 international mediators (Russia, Great Britain, Germany, China, the United States and France) on Iranian nuclear program with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton involved in talks noted with satisfaction that the first stage of joint action plan adopted in Geneva on November 24, 2013, was launched on January 20, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated on Wednesday upon results of the P5+1 meeting that was held in Geneva, Switzerland, on Tuesday.

Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov participated in the consultations from Russia.

“The negotiators have discussed all issues related with successful fulfilment of first steps of the Geneva accords,” the Russian diplomatic agency noted. “They also shared views on prospects of working out comprehensive and final solution to all problems related with Iranian nuclear program in order to place it under international control to ensure Iran’s unalienable right for purely peaceful nuclear activity, including the right for uranium enrichment,” the ministry said. “In this case all sanctions without exclusion against Iran will be lifted,” the Foreign Ministry added.
