Touching moment of baptism

One of the highlights of the convention was the baptism performed
on Saturday at noon. This year, five persons got baptized as a symbol
of their dedication to God.
One of them was Mwale Mirriam, a Zambian, who attended the convention
from Osaka. When asked why she decided to get baptized, she related
her own experience: "I was introduced to the truth by my young
sister. After observing her good qualities like love, mildness,
slowness to anger, cheerfulness, I was moved and I wished I could
be like her."
This annual convention is now being held in Japan in six languages,
and is expected to draw 290,000 people this year. Worldwide, Jehovah's
Witnesses number over 6 million (Japan: 220,000) and engage in a
Bible education activity in 235 lands and islands of the sea.*
