Martin Nievera and Lani Misalucha captivate Filipinos in
live Tokyo concert
After a five-year hiatus in his career in the wake of his
much-talked about separation from Pops Fernandez, Martin Nievera
proved himself to still be the Concert King when he packed
the Shibuya Kokaido Hall with about a thousand Filipinos last
May 4.
His team-up with Asias reigning singing queen Lani
Misalucha proved to be a hit with the crowd. Aside from the
usual repertoire of love songs, Martin regaled the crowd with
his humorous ad lib on his estranged wife and a riotous mimicry
of arch-rival Gary Valenciano.
Lani endeared the crowd with her hair-raising imitation of
the singing voices of Pilita Corales, Kuh Ledesma, Sharon
Cuneta, and Regine Velasquez.
Pops Fernandez also had a sold-out concert with the Side
A Band in Tokyo last February.
