Ambassador Domingo L. Siazon Jr. on July 9 celebrates his 65th birthday with family, friends, and staff. Here he blows candles on his birthday cake and gamely shows, with Madame Kay, that he is not yet past his dancing days. Or his singing days, either. On the third photo he belts out a Placido Domingo with the three heads of attached agencies to the Philippine Embassy: Bong Bengzon, Tourism Attache for East Japan; Col. Leo Hipe Jr., Defense Attache; and Buster Elevado, Commercial Attache. Mr. Elevado is hidden behind the ambassador.

Congratulations!

Aaron John joins Turda family. New arrival Aaron John is keeping Lito and Jonie Turda busy lately. Born July 22, the healthy baby boy is the first, most probably not the last, child for the couple. Lito is a Monbusho scholar at the University of Tsukuba, while Jonie is a teacher at the Tsukuba International School.

Borja-Tao nuptials - Clemen Borja and Mimi Tao tied the knot on May 4 at the Alliance Church in General Santos City. Clemen is a former Maxwell trainee; Mimi is of Japanese descent. The newlyweds are shown here with family and friends.
