A star-studded September!

September was a star-studded month for Filipinos living in Tokyo as celebrities graced numerous shows, starting with the South Border concert on September 15, featuring Rica Paralejo, Regine Tolentino and Alan K as guests. Wood One Co. and Viva Cargo sponsored this event. The Philippine Embassy-sponsored Family Day with Kristine Hermosa as the main attraction followed on September 22.

 

Bowling tourney kicks off in Ibaraki

Unibowl, the first bowling tournament this year in Ibaraki kicked off October 6 at Daiwas Land, a popular recreational facility in Tsuchiura City. The event is sponsored by Philippines Today jointly with the Ibaraki Christian Center (ICC).

Winners, in descending order, for the male division were Junjie Abestillas, Rudy Lanuza, and Joel Ishihama; Winnie Limsiaco, Rhe Tokunaga, and Candy Dayao for the female division. Proceeds will go to the ICC community outreach program. *
