Hadano Filipino community Christmas party to showcase culture

The Hadano Philippine Society in Hadano City, Kanagawa Pref. will celebrate the yuletide season with a cultural presentation of songs and dances on December 22 at 1:00 PM at the Hon-cho Kouminkan in the city.

Under the leadership of Erlinda Takada, the society also celebrates its sixth year. Among the accomplishments it is proud to recollect are the organization of regular English and Tagalog masses officiated by Fr. Philip Bonifacio and Fr. Serate. The society has also participated in city-sponsored community activities to showcase Philippine traditional songs and dances.

Aside from counseling of psychologically troubled Filipino residents, the society has also raised funds for the medication of a child who was about to go blind and the schooling of two girls whose father was mentally deranged and mother disabled.*
